Hidden away in the south of La Digue, near Grand Anse, Anse Songe is a secluded paradise, a silent siren beckoning with its scenic allure. Its waters, deep and untouched by the coral reef's protective embrace, are a spectacle but caution the overzealous; these depths aren't swim-friendly. Reaching Anse Songe is a journey unto itself. A mere 15-minute walk from Grand Anse, this trail unfurls nature's masterpieces. Whether it's the stunning ocean vistas, the haunting remnants of dwelling houses cloaked in foliage, or the tranquil pond teeming with water lilies, every step walks hand in hand with enchantment. Once at the beach, while activities are sparse, its scenic tableau more than compensates. If you choose to snorkel, the deep waters demand respect and caution. Yet, even a moment of reprieve under the beach's shading trees feels like time stolen from paradise. With its picturesque landscape and the journey there, Anse Songe whispers tales of nature's artistry.

A small stretch of sand located between Pointe Canon and Grand l’Anse. Spanning roughly 300 metres, it's segmented by rocky outcroppings. Deep waters with potential undercurrents make swimming inadvisable. Reachable from Grand Anse in a 15-minute walk. Natural tree cover shades visitors from the sun.
