When the sun's last rays bid adieu to the day, they alight upon Praslin, Seychelles’ second-largest island, casting an ethereal glow, viewable from Anse Severe in the north of La Digue. Most times, Anse Severe boasts a vast expanse of powdery sand; yet at high tide, the ocean reclaims its dominion, leaving but a mirage of the beach behind. Easy access is one of Anse Severe's hallmarks. A nearby road permits arrival by bike or car, ensuring a smooth journey to this paradise. Furthermore, its proximity to several accommodations makes it a coveted destination for its guests. Once you're there, the beach unfolds its charm: a small snack shop to quench your thirst; a boutique echoing local crafts, and the shallow, protected waters inviting both the seasoned swimmer and the young paddler. The protective rock and coral formations ensure safety even for the little ones, making it a haven for families. While Anse Severe is currently a serene retreat, be mindful that ongoing construction across the road may bring more footfalls shortly.
