Prominently positioned on the southeast coast of Mahé, Anse Royale stands out as a sought-after beach. The adjoining town, sharing the same moniker, boasts a plethora of amenities including a petrol station, hospital, university, banks, and diverse accommodations. Ease of access is guaranteed with proximate public parking and a bus stop. Divided into smaller sections, this elongated bay benefits from the safeguarding coral reef, ensuring the waters remain typically calm — ideal for swimming and snorkelling. Notably, Anse Royale attracts windsurfers during the summer months of June to September. Close by, visitors are spoiled with restaurants, shops, and equipment rentals for a myriad of aquatic adventures. Apart from its present allure, the beach exudes historical significance. It cradled the Seychelles' first spice gardens in 1772. The scenic view also features a stately church. Despite its immense popularity, the vast expanse of Anse Royale ensures every visitor can carve out their serene nook.

A sprawling bay composed of several smaller beaches, with pristine waters safeguarded by coral reefs. Its clear, shallow waters make it ideal for families. Numerous shops, a few dining spots, banks, a hospital, Seychelles University, and various lodgings are all nearby. Perfect for water activities like swimming, snorkeling, and windsurfing.
