On the west coast of Mahé, curving gracefully, is Anse Boileau. Adjacent to Anse à la Mouche, this beach is also the administrative heart of Seychelles, housing essential facilities such as a police station and various shops. While the shallow waters may not be ideal for a swim, they provide an authentic glimpse into the lives of Seychellois fishermen. Access to the beach is straightforward, with a bus stop conveniently located on the adjacent main road along with ample parking spaces. A plethora of nearby establishments, including a fire and police station and guesthouses, ensure many visitors simply stroll in. The bay itself, with its small waves and sandy floor, is apt for swimming and snorkeling. However, note that between June and September, seaweed might be present, and high tides can reduce the beach expanse. Occasionally, the sight of windsurfers gliding across the calm waters can be enjoyed. Additionally, Anse Boileau's sunsets are a photographer’s delight. Apart from its coastal allure, Anse Boileau is the starting point for the cross-island Chemin Montagne path, an intriguing trail for explorers.

A bay favored by fishermen on Mahé. Its shallow depth doesn't cater to swimmers, and it sometimes serves as a harbor for local boats. Ideal for families because of its gentle waves and shallow depth. Nearby facilities include a police station, school, stores, supermarkets, and trekking paths. Offers a perfect vantage for sunset gazing. Trees shield from the sun.
