Nestled in the southern expanse of Mahé, flanked by Police Bay and Petit Police Bay, Anse Bazarca is unlike most Seychelles' beaches. The waves here are vigorous, crashing powerfully onto the shore due to the deeper oceanic waters. If swimming or snorkelling tops your list, this might not be the first choice. However, Anse Bazarca's natural allure and ambiance make it a must-see. Reaching the beach is a breeze due to the adjoining road, complemented by convenient parking and a nearby bus stop. Depending on when you visit, the beach’s appeal changes. The period from June to September witnesses a retreat of sand, unveiling ancient coral reef formations. Conversely, from October to May, these unique formations lie hidden beneath the sands. While water-based activities are limited given the beach’s rough nature, Takamaka's nearby shops and eateries ensure you’re not left wanting. A unique spectacle here is the tagged turtle nests, making it a breeding haven. A gentle reminder: while these magnificent creatures are a sight to behold, disturbing them or obstructing their oceanic journey is a strict no-no. Anse Bazarca may not offer an exhaustive beach experience, but its unique features, combined with the possibility of exploring the neighboring Petit Police and Grand Police Bay, ensure a visit is well worth it regardless of where you're based on Mahé.

Untamed beach boasting deep waters and a pronounced drop-off. Due to its depth and occasionally rough waves, it's less family-friendly. The adjacent bus stop and parking spots ensure easy access. Trees offer a break from the sun. Nearby Takamaka has restaurants and shops.
